Where do JumboTrons go when they die? or, Who will take care of our baby booming technology?

What happens when all this technology we are producing so rapidly begins to age. Certainly this is not a new question. I have questions like this for electric cars and their batteries. In my the city next to my hometown, they just began taking electronics for recycling. The recycling center will accept up to 25 pounds of electronics, which can be anything I imagine that can be plugged into a wall. How do you recycle an 88 foot video screen. How do you maintain it for that matter. And is it worth creating it in the first place if we can’t sustain it.
